Clean lines, proportion and subtle complexity are the highlights of my signature lamps. These specific designs are my own and were inspired by the classic look of Craftsman, Arts and Crafts, and Mission designs, but my look is most often compared to Frank Lloyd Wright in his Prairie Home period (1900-1910). They fit easily with many styles of decors and go especially well in Craftsman Bungalows, Cabins and Lodge style homes. No matter the setting, these beautiful lamps will add elegance and warmth to your home or office and the quality assures they will last for generations to come. All lamps come serial numbered and signed by me so you can be assured that you are getting a genuine Long Craftsman Designs product. This model is my Pattern A "The Ocoee Lamp", my first original design. This lamp has a distinct central column that highlights the face and edge grains of the wood. Both straight lines and angles are combined to convey both strength and refinement. The shade was designed as four individual frames fitted with mica and brought together at a pleasing angle with a reveal left at the edges for additional character. The shade supports are gracefully tapered to help balance the look and extend beyond the shade frame for a subtle accent. This lamp has the classic flat "S" shape dual bulb fixture with excellent, smooth pulling chain switches. These lamps are custom made to order and can be built in different woods (Cherry, Quarter Sawn Oak and Walnut) with different finish and mica colors. All of my products are meticulously crafted from the finest materials available, from choice American hardwoods to solid brass fixtures. Currently, I am milling my own logs into lumber for the oak and walnut. We use storm fallen trees on our land in NC then dry the lumber in our solar kiln. For the fixtures only UL Listed parts are used. Every lamp is tested and inspected before being professionally packed and shipped. They come complete with specially chosen Edison Style LED bulbs for the perfect color. All Long Craftsman Designs products are warrantied for life.
