Janene Waudby on Instagram: "So as you know, I like mark making with slip … I like the element of chance as to how it adheres to the dry clay. It gives me the life and spontaneity I am always looking for in the surfaces of my work. Here I am trying to demonstrate that notwithstanding the slip and surfaces are the same, the choice of material with which you transfer the slip matters greatly. Contrast particularly the plastic (fine lines) and the linen, heavy textured single line. I liked the plastic but made a late switch to cling film as it’s a more malleable plastic to an old plastic bag - I think a better result. But it all depends on what you are looking for. My main advice is as always - just be curious! P.s.
