What’s in a Fancy Forest Christmas Tree? 👇 Well, I knew I had to have giant DIY moss covered mushrooms in mine. That’s why I took these DIY mushrooms my daughter and I made in the spring and covered them in moss. They turned out , but let’s just say that wasn’t my cleanest or easiest DIY I’ve ever done. Next, obviously you’ll need some fancy squirrels. Check my LTK page for these guys. They fit right in. The other things I really love about this tree are the combination of my lighting recipe with the large iridescent ornaments. I made these mushrooms a couple weeks ago inspired by the anthro mushroom display for Christmas.🍄 I want to share how easy and affordable it is to craft them! Materials I used: Tin foil Hot glue Velvet fabric (or any fabric on hand) Crepe paper Puffy paint I took large tin foil sheets and molded them into a stem and mushroom top. I Hot glued both together. The stem, I made sure to have a flat top for more stability. I used crepe paper to hot glue to the foil stem. You can also use felt sheets for a replacement. I cut the velvet to the shape of the mushroom top and folded over the fabric and used puffy paint for the spots on the mushroom.
