Black Velvet is the first and as of now the only solid black petunia available. It is just like black velvet. It really does look jet black most of the time deep purple at other times. Just incredible. This mounded upright grower was a Ball FloraPlant 2010 offering in the California Spring Trials. It was shown along with its also black siblings Phantom and Pinstripe, both bicolors.
