LinkedIn algorithm didn’t punish me for being inactive for 4 months. I didn’t post on LinkedIn for 4 months. Impressions were dropped to double digits, follower count was stuck. Yet, when I posted after those 4 months, my post got nearly 50,000 impressions and amazing engagement. In the last 14 days, I’ve had over 350,000 impressions. How did this happen? I went back to what has always worked for me. Having been active on LinkedIn for a year, I understand my audience. I know what kind of posts they like and need. So, I delivered what they wanted from me. You need to understand your audience’s psyche. Top-notch content mixed with audience preference will help you grow quickly. Consistency is important, but quality content is key. I try to post 3-4 times a week but make sure I put enough time and effort into the content creation and designing. To sum it up: 1) Analyze your past content and see what worked. 2) Understand your audience and what they want. 3) Create content based on these insights. P.S. Each social media platform has its own algorithms. But they all have the same purpose: Keep the user online as long as possible. The average attention span tends to be around 8 seconds, so what should we do to make them stop on your post? There is no tip and trick here. It all comes from the core. Assuming that you are totally clear about your target audience, then make sure your content has: ⇒ Appelling hook ⇒ Valuable body ⇒ Strong and clear CTA It is necessary to balance the attraction of three elements. Because: If your hook is great, but your body does not give them what you promise, they will be disappointed and even feel like being cheated. If your body provides a lot of value, but your hook is not compelling to make them stop... I don't think they are patient enough to scroll down to find out what's next. And everything is good, but your CTA? Then your post is for no purpose. 👉 To have a good hook: - Start with a surprising fact, statistic, or a bold statement that challenges common beliefs. - Using open questions to pique their curiosity - Leverage emotion by sharing a relatable experience, a witty remark, or a controversial opinion. 👉 To make the body part more attractive, consider: - Use storytelling - Your personal stories or experience - Give real and concrete examples - Share a quote from an expert or market leader. - Combine with lists, bullet points, or short paragraphs to make the content easy to skim and scan 👉 Finally, remember to craft a short but strong CTA.  Don't miss the chance if you successfully get their attention with the hook.  Make sure they know what to do next after reading your post. - Add the specific benefit they can get by taking action to make your CTA irresistible  - Use language that creates urgency or excitement - Align the CTA with the user's journey stage; for instance, a "Learn more" CTA is great for awareness, while "Buy now" suits a more ready-to-convert audience. In the world of social media nowadays, where competition for attention is cutthroat, it's not just about being seen—it's about being remembered and acted upon. "I won't quit until I make this work."   This was exactly what I told Aachal Agrawal over a call with her about LinkedIn content strategy.   And as a creator with more than 14k+ followers, she had a really good idea of how LinkedIn works. I asked her many questions.   From content strategy to optimizing your LinkedIn profile,.   The call really helped me understand how LinkedIn as a platform really works, dos and don'ts, and also what mistakes I should avoid as a beginner.   Now I don't want to give away everything; you can book a call with her to help with your LinkedIn.   But I'm here to commit to his platform for the next 90 days.   Over the next 90 days, you'll see a lot of posts, comments, and outreach from my side.   Learning, building, and helping others (if possible) on how to build an audience on LinkedIn, get leads, and have fun.   The worst thing that would happen is that I would stop posting again after a month. The best thing I'm hoping for is to get to a really good 10,000+ community.   Yes, 10k+, because a goal without any defined parameters is just wanted.   So see you tomorrow.   P.S. What is the right APPEAL for a lady who wants to find love? A promise of marriage? Absolutely 💯 So, to catch the attention of your prospect tell them what they want to HEAR. Who doesn't want to make money? (Money) Who doesn't want to find a lover? (Romance) Who doesn't want to live longer (Self-Preservation) Who doesn't want power and prestige? Who doesn't more money??? (Financial security) We can go on and on..... As a marketer or salesperson, your task is to study the human nature, and what naturally motivates them to buy. To be continued.... . LinkedIn needs less of this: - I’ve gained 1K new followers - I’ve hit 1M impressions this week - I’ve got 300 engagements on my post And more of this: - I struggled building LinkedIn authority - I’m shadow-banned and don’t know why - I’ve had the same follower count for months I’m sick of these numbers. Here’s my reality: - My engagement has dropped for 2 weeks - I haven’t felt confident in all my content - I asked for feedback but got no reply - I spent hours on posts that flopped - I’m rethinking my DM strategy - I removed 40+ connections - I supported new creators Above all, I’m happy because I’m taking action. LinkedIn has a secret 1am growth formula. ( I learned this from Jasmin ‘Post case study’ ) See, you are not alone. 2 years ago Jasmin was there as well. He too was getting less than few likes. But then something got changed.Yes ENTIRELY. He actually cracked that code. He knew something was fishy there. It’s easy to notice in his old posts.Trust me. I actually went to his 2 years old posts & found it. →It’s the “Pattern” of his posts that changed everything. Nope❌ Pattern doesn’t mean just formatting. Let me explain. Any written post contains 3 important elements. 1. Intro ( Grab interest ) 2. Body ( Give detail ) 3. CTA ( End story ) → But that’s classic essay type format. It worked then because of long attention span. → Now, attention is everything. Jasmin got it. So he changed the format into 1. Hook (Grab interest) 2. Re-hook (Grab it there) 3. No detail (Just be ‘to the point’) 4. Start a new story ( P.S + comments ) And TA’Da it worked. Ask Jasmin Alić I guess he is famous now. Are you jay🙂? P.S: I study best creators’ post at 1am. What if I tell you that I'm not making any money using linkedin besides having 11,500+ followers!.... You wouldn't believe me... Not only me, but many aren't able to!.... WHY?...[Guesses?] ? LinkedIn's Monetization criteria...NOPE ? I lack skills....NO ? I'm not consistent...NO Answer Because it's my personal choice, as of now I want to focus on my academics. But now, coming to the main reason why people aren't able to monetize... It's because of CONTENT STRATEGY You need to put a mix of Educational posts, hero posts, Testimonials, Authority authority-building posts to actually sell!... ●Hero posts = No community building, Only Followers ○Testimonials = Less Followers ●Educational Posts = No Conversions Trust me, content Strategy plays a crucial role. No matter, if it's LinkedIn or YouTube... Maybe, I failed YouTube because I didn't opt for a proper content Strategy from the very beginning. But you guys, don't do this... Here’s how I gained over 3k subscribers on YouTube in less than 3 days 😁 I started taking YouTube seriously again 3 days ago and woke up to 4k subscribers today. Here’s what I did and how you can replicate it: ✅ Give value: Instead of focusing on tactics and video length, I just focused on giving value. What did I wish I knew when I started? I shared that, and it worked! ✅ People don’t care about you: I skipped all the introductions at the beginning of the video and went straight to the point. This increased my watch time and reduced skips. ✅ Recreate your viral videos from other platforms: Before YouTube, I was on IG and TikTok. Some videos went viral there, so I thought, why not recreate them on YouTube? It worked! So yeah, that’s what I did, and it worked—4k subscribers, guys! If you’re a B2C SaaS or AI startup founder and you want to grow on social media, especially TikTok or IG, I’m your girl.

“LinkedIn isn’t working for non-premium accounts” (I hear this a lot from beginners lately) Many complaints from LinkedIn. You are seeing limited views of your profile. You are sending limited personalized invites, etc... I feel you. Even top creators don't have a premium. Invest in things that cost $0 and have "great" ROI. - Comment with strategy and a good perspective. - Give advice that can change someone’s life. - Share free content that helps someone. - Build good relations with others.  - Help others to feel confident. - Be human with others. - Spread positivity. - Be yourself. - Be kind. This is all to say... Change is an inevitable thing. You should be ready for any change. You solve any problem if you seek a solution. Focus on what you can control not what you can’t. My Grandfather Wanted Me to Quit freelancing Here’s How I Proved Him Wrong 11 months ago, nobody knew me Today, I have over 15K+ followers I Started my journey in September 2023 with: 0 connection 0 follower 0 posts Now, I have: 15k+ followers Consistent engagement 5-6 inbound leads weekly This journey has been incredible Shout out to my grand father who is against from my freelancing hahaha In 2023 When I began freelancing My grandfather asked what I do all day on the laptop. He tried to push me to quit freelancing and continue studying. - My Grandfather often called his daughters (phopho) - He say Maryam is stuck on the laptop all day. - I don't know what her future will be. (Par mae bhi nikli ap logon ki behan) hahha - In this entire journey, only my mom supported me. - I worked hard day and night to fulfill my dreams. - After working consistently I got my first client. In 2024 → Now my grandfather pushes my sister to work with me → And praise me now in front of their daughters hehe → This is a lot of me when everyone prasie me  → And I am the only freelancer in my family. I hit 2000 followers in 10 months So slow, right? You might wonder (me too 😂) My peers (who started at the same time as me) They are now “big creators” with 10k+ or 15k+ Am I sad? NO. Am I… discouraged? NOPE. Am I comparing myself? It depends on my mood 👀 Sometimes you just don't need to be. I got my first client when I was under 1k followers I got my second client…also around that number My third, fourth & fifth…all while under 2k followers! So, does follower count really matter? YES, when it is: ⤷ the reflection of your dedicated work & efforts. ⤷ the proof your work resonates with other people. ⤷ a thriving community of engaged supporters. NO, when it is: ⤷ mot the right evaluation of your true ability. ⤷ a source of comparison and self-doubt. ⤷ just vanity metrics (lots of faces but no one pays the bills.) Here’s what I’ve learned: → Growth doesn’t have to be fast to be meaningful. To anyone feeling like your follower count isn’t “enough” Keep showing up, keep creating, keep connecting. The right people will find you, and that’s what counts. Slow and steady wins the race 😊 P.S. Is follower count important to you?

Harsh truth : LinkedIn's algorithm isn't failing you. It's your wrong approach that needs adjustment. The Algorithm isn’t to blame, IF YOU : 1. Lack consistency in posting. 2. Neglect a defined content strategy. 3. Don’t follow a fixed posting schedule. 4. Write posts that lack clarity and logic. 5. Neglect to support your community. 6. Rely solely on AI-generated content. 7. Avoid building new connections daily. 8. Overlook the power of genuine engagement. 9. Focus solely on top creators while ignoring smaller ones. Stop blaming the algorithm when your LinkedIn game looks like this.👆 Start doing it’s opposite to win the game!
