However a week before the wedding, a group of visiting musicians lures the girl into their car, rape her and disappear from the village. Disgraced Angelica overnight loses her beloved fiance and friends and becomes an object of ridicule for the whole neighborhood, and the girl soon realizes that she is pregnant. After much hesitation, she decides to keep the baby and leaves for Moscow to find her offenders and take revenge.
