Very fun and addicting. But it seems way too p2w for pvp. I don't expect stuff to be free, but every single beginner battle I tried I was completely destroyed by legendary Pokemon, it's a completely different league right from the beginning. And in typical Nintendo style, the animations are very long and unskippable. You know it's bad when restarting the whole game is faster than watching the animations. Still worth playing.

I honestly love almost every aspect of this app. I don't, however, like the illusion of choice with the pack openings. It's decided before you even open a pack. It's a cut corner I can forgive because the events have surprised me and kept me engaged with the game. There ARE some balancing issues with cards that I don't see as an issue as of yet, as it's early. But I'm almost positive that without change, newer installments will alleviate them. I give it the highest praise.

It's fun and it brings me back to owning the real cards when I was younger. My major complaint is that it seems way too easy to get the rare cards and just spam them. The other star was deducted because following a match that I won the app wanted me to update. When I reopened the game and tried to continue battling I was told the battle didn't end correctly and that it would be counted as a loss. From a coding perspective it seems pretty amateur to force an update before the post-match wrap-up
