The water will absorb into the open cell foam and cause the roof sheathing to rot before you realize there is a problem. If you go with a standing seam metal roof, this is almost a non-issue.   🙋‍♂️ Would I want it on my house…? Hell Yeah! At least at the roofline. For the exterior walls: Zip-R in conjunction with Batt insulation would be my pick if my budget could handle it!    Open-cell spray foam applied to the roofline will create a conditioned attic instead of a vented attic. If you’ve ever been inside a spray foamed attic, it’s shocking the temperature difference compared to a vented attic 😅.   In GA, the HVAC handler and ducts are typically Metal Roof Insulation, Builder Brigade, Roof Sheathing, Standing Seam Metal Roof, Roof Insulation, Attic Insulation, Spray Foam Insulation, Standing Seam, Spray Foam
