I've been working on bubble shots for a while now, very challenging. This is the first one that I think is at least half way decent. Such a pain blowing bubbles and photographing them on the flower. They don't last more than 2 seconds! Bubbles are hard to focus onto, so I chose a small aperture for the deep depth of field and then set the camera into manual focus . To get the reflection on top, the bubble had to be "fresh". After a second, the bubble thins out and turns completely translucent before popping. Hence no more reflection :( I had to work fast, straw in one hand blowing bubbles and another hand on remote…
