The Nemu Nemu no Mi is a non-canon Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that grants the user the ability to make anyone fall asleep. It was eaten by Noko in One Piece: Ocean's Dream!. In the anime, Noko demonstrated similar powers, but the fruit itself was never mentioned.[2]

Etymology[]

  • Nemu is derived from "nemuri" (眠り?), which means "sleep" in Japanese.

Strengths and Weaknesses[]

This fruit's main strength is that it allows the user to trap people inside a dream world while they are asleep. Inside the dream world, the user can steal people's memories to power up. The user can also manipulate the dream world using the stolen memories, as well as take control of someone in the dream world.[1]

Usage[]

Noko mainly uses this power to put his opponents to sleep and absorb other peoples' dreams and to take control of people. However it is shown that if he is hit the memories will start spilling out of his body and back into those to whom they belonged. He also turns down the food Zoe offers him, saying he eats left over memories.[1]

Trivia[]

  • This fruit is similar to the canon Memo Memo no Mi, as both has the ability to steal a person's memories.
  • This fruit is also similar to the Uta Uta no Mi as both fruits allow the user to put someone in a sleep-like state and control them within a dream world.
