Some of our libraries have local Friends' Groups. Friends' Groups help to support, enhance and raise awareness of the library service by assisting with activities, running their own activities and providing additional facilities for the local area. Supporting Ham, Whitton, Kew and Hampton Wick libraries.

When you become a Friend, you're joining more than 1,200 members who advocate, educate, and raise funds on behalf of the Knox County Public Library.

The 18th annual National Friends of Libraries Week is Oct. 15-21, 2023. The celebration offers a two-fold opportunity to celebrate Friends. These groups can help promote your library in the community, raise awareness, and promote membership. This is also an excellent opportunity for your library and Board of Trustees to recognize the Friends for their help and support of the library.
