Chikuchi Togeike (ę£˜ (ćØ恒) ę±  (恄恑) ēƉ (ć”ć) ēؚ (恔) Togeike Chikuchi?)[1] is a student in U.A. High School's General Department.

Appearance[]

Chikuchi is a young woman of an average build with dark hair. She has ear-length bangs are arched slightly up before they come down, which is styled into a set of low, curved pigtails. She has thin, stern-looking eyes with notable lower eyelashes, and usually wears a sullen expression.

During school hours, she wears the standard U.A. uniform.

Personality[]

Not much is currently known about Chikuchi's personality at present, aside from the fact that she appeared to be jealous of and had a disliking for Class 1-A due to their popularity, which she and many other general course students think is baseless. However, after watching their performance during the School Festival, she showed remorse at her previous low opinion of the class and her wish that they would perform badly, and admitted to them that their event was amazing.

Synopsis[]

U.A. School Festival Arc[]

Chikuchi was having a talk with Tsutsutaka Agoyamato, one of her fellow General Department students, where they criticized Class 1-A and their decision to hold a live show to lift the rest of the school's spirits. Katsuki Bakugo overheard this exchange and the students shot him dirty looks, enraging him. This played a part in Katsuki wanting to make 1-A's performance a resounding success so as to silence their critics.[2] Afterwards, she and Tsutsutaka apologized for wanting them to suffer misfortune, which pleased Katsuki.[3]

Final War Arc[]

Chikuchi and Tsutsutaka are later seen in the U.A. Underground Evacuation Bunkers during the Final War. After the block they are in is sabotaged by All For One's subordinates and starts to crumble, the civilians are ordered to retreat to the surface. Chikuchi and Tsutsutaka assist in helping the civilians, in particular the elderly and children, get outside to the U.A. robots, away from the impending inferno nearby caused by Dabi.[4] Luckily, Shoto Todoroki and Tenya Ida have jet across the landscape from Kamino to Gunga in stopping Dabi's imminent nuclear explosion and dissipated the inferno into thin air.[5]

One week after the end of the Final War, the Heroes emerged victorious over the villains, and the restoration efforts that were stalled after the Jaku Hospital Raid have picked back up at a breakneck pace, as Heroes from around the world arrived to provide support and resources in rescue and rebuilding Japan.[6]

Chapter 425

Chikuchi and Tsutsutaka attend the graduation ceremony for the third years.

Weeks later, it is now June, and the third-year students at U.A. High are finally having their graduation after the end of the Final War. Chikuchi and Tsutsutaka attends the U.A. High Graduation to hand out the Third years their diplomas, with Chikuchi and Tsutsutaka being devastated that their idol student, Nejire Hado is graduating from U.A.

Present Mic, who is MC-ing the event, apologizes for the delayed graduation, and shouts for excitement and the third years enthusiastically join in, while the former second years watching are start to get the jist of it, and the former first years watch speechless.

After Mawata Fuwa gives the farewell address as the students' representative, Present Mic calls on the graduates' representative, Mirio. He starts off his speech with a sincere statement thanking everyone for being in attendance, befuddling them all for not starting off with a gag. Mirio continues that they lost so much and gained nothing, and that a Heroes fight is to bring a negative situation back to square one. He mentions how the general education, support, and management courses each used their experience to come together as one to fight the good fight, however they're still not back at square one yet, and the three years they spent at the school will be put toward that purpose, as today was not that goal. He concludes that a world without smiles and humor has no bright future, that they seek a positive world where people can live their lives in good cheer, and that is the finish line they're racing toward. He snaps up, using his Quirk to blast of into the air, shouting to his underclassmen just as Bibimi Kenranzaki unleashes her giant robot on the cheering crowd.[7]
