Dark times

The more perfect you try to be, the more things about yourself you need to suppress. Things you don't accept, things that do not match the image of yourself you have created. But just because you hide them doesn't mean they're gone.

I found this quote not too long ago and while times aren't that dark today I know there is someone somewhere who could use a push, a reminder, to keep chugging along. Whenever I read this, on a dark day or a brighter one, I am reminded about why I love it so much. It is short and simple and to the point.
