the interior of a restaurant with tables and stools, an open bar area and lots of counter space
Harbord Hotel | HOSPITALITY
Harbord Hotel | HOSPITALITY | Harbord Hotel draws influence from its rich, working-class history and Australian surf culture. Celebrating its unique, unpretentious local community, this transformed pre-war pavilion now includes a ground-floor front bar, Balsa restaurant, kitchen facilities, external courtyards and a refurbished original staircase to the first-floor functions/events zone with a built-out balcony.

Burleigh Pavilion | HOSPITALITY
Burleigh Pavilion | HOSPITALITY | Touches of pink seen here in the terrazzo dining room tables as well as the mint green bar stools reflect the key colour story throughout The Tropic restaurant within @burleighpavilion. Creatively our client wanted the project to evoke memories of a childhood spent holidaying in Burleigh Heads. The pastel palette therefore needed to capture a 70’s Gold Coast beach nostalgia combined with a fresh and appealing energy for the modern guest.

Glorietta | HOSPITALITY
Glorietta | HOSPITALITY | It was a challenging brief to bring to life an Italian restaurant within the silvered volume of this commercial foyer. Repeating coloured lines on colliding textures bring some spirit to this kitchen niche, while curvilinear plaster cast wall lights add a hand textured patina, notes our principal Jeremy Bull.

Manly Wharf Bar | HOSPITALITY
Manly Wharf Bar | HOSPITALITY | Although operationally difficult to run a fully open bar with no back-bar, i thought it would have held the windows and corner with an intensity and energy that would anchor the whole room. In this case operational reality won out, and the bar was pushed back against the wall so that the fridges could be restocked and the bar better maintained.

Glorietta | HOSPITALITY
HOSPITALITY | Glorietta | Glorietta encompasses an alfresco dining zone where the warmth and saturation of the colour palette from inside, spill out into this courtyard.

Manly Wharf Bar | HOSPITALITY | Adjoining the Manly Wharf Bar is the sophisticated Bar Tropic restaurant. The materiality of Bar Tropic is key to the design, informing the colour palette of white, caramel, brass and grey. Shown here is the entry via timber-framed, brass detailed, glazed doors. Manly Wharf Bar | The latest hospitality project to join our family; @manlywharfbar in Manly sits at the water's edge. With ocean views as the hero, we aimed to create a free-flowing interior with delineated areas for bars, the Bar Tropic restaurant, as well as private spaces and public areas. . #alexanderandco #manlywharfbar #hospitalitydesign #bardesign #bar #restaurantandbar #sydneyhospitality

Harbord Hotel | Best described as 'surf shack elegance'. In homage to the art deco venue genesis, we specified a reclaimed lounge setting, travertine coffee table and patterned rug for this corner of the restaurant. This corner provides guests with a cosy nook to have a drink while the original pavilion-style arched window provides a glimpse of the treetops outside. . #alexanderandco #harbordhotel #balsadiningroom #hospitalitydesign #bardesign #bar #architecture #interiordesign
