COLD OPEN | In the company of Luis and Maria, Oscar announces that Slimey's mother Eartha is going to have a baby today, though they're not sure when. A very pregnant Eartha sits nearby nervously rocking in her chair as the baby kicks inside her tummy.
SCENE 1 | Oscar watches the skies for an airplane that Slimey's father Dusty will be riding from work to take his wife to the hospital; otherwise he'll have to take her there himself. They receive a wormgram from Dusty that Luis reads, saying he missed the plane and is waiting for the next one. He reiterates that Oscar had agreed to help if he couldn't make it, a favor Oscar groans about. Maria wonders if the baby will be a girl or a boy, and Oscar accidentally invites them to stick around and find out.

They load in several essential worm-sized items such as a robe, address book (should she need a lawyer), diapers, a bonnet, and a bungee cord. Maria makes the suggestion of a picture of a loved one, having gone through the experience when having Gabi, so Oscar produces a small photo of Slimey. They have trouble closing the full suitcase until Slimey gives a mighty jump on top of it.

Oscar fastens Slimey's seatbelt and tests out the other worm seatbelts with Maria and Luis, who use their fingers in place of Eartha and the baby worm. Oscar then tests out the sirens and flashers of the car (a la "The Clapper"), which he says won't shut off for 20 minutes. The grown-ups find their fingers are stuck and they can't escape; they're trapped in the seatbelts!

SCENE 5 | Eartha is seated in the car and begins to wriggle back and forth, which everyone learns from the book means that the baby is coming. Maria thinks they should get Eartha to the hospital when another wormgram from Dusty arrives, telling them the same. As suspected, the Sloppy Jalopy won't start and Eartha begins to go into labor. Oscar starts to panic ("I don't know nothin' about birthin' worms!"), but luckily he has another worm birthing book, which instructs them how to help Eartha. Luis frees her from her car seat and Oscar assists her during the process, using his finger for her to push against to aid birth. Maria encourages Eartha to breathe (Luis: "I don't think she went to class.") and POP! It becomes quiet, and Oscar softly observes, "... it's born." After confirming it's a girl, Luis gives Slimey's baby sister her bonnet.
SCENE 5 cont'd | Maria wishes that Dusty were here, when he arrives via parachute with a bouquet of flowers! He lands into the car and reunites with his newly-expanded family. Oscar is just as happy, a feeling Grouches don't usually like to show, so he celebrates having a broken car instead.
