SCENE 1 | Telly welcomes the viewer, noting how it's been a pretty quiet day so far. Suddenly he hears a tingling sound, along with a variation of "Also sprach Zarathustra," and then a giant, silver, sparkly number 11 materializes in the middle of the yard! He is awestruck by this marvelous number (and the great music that comes with it) and is inspired to make a triumphant count to 11. The giant 11 soon fades away and Telly makes sure the viewer also saw it, then calls for Luis to tell him what he just witnessed.

Telly reiterates that this number 11 is special, though: it comes with great music that makes Telly feel so... "eleveny." He then begins to notice 11s on Luis: two pencils in his pocket, two of his pointy fingers, and even his legs, all of which look like the number 11. Luis has trouble believing Telly, but asks for future updates before going back to work. Right after he leaves, Telly sees the 11 again and calls for Luis. ("It's even more eleveny than your legs!")

While she rambles, Telly sees the giant 11 materialize once more, and stammers as he tries to direct her attention to it. Ruby never notices it while she's talking, and it disappears before she can get a glimpse. Telly agonizes over Ruby's obliviousness, and isn't even sure if it'll return. "Oh yeah, I hear giant 11s with music are funny that way," Ruby says.
