"Doing the Penguin" is a song and dance from Sesame Street Episode 3145. The song is performed by a bandleader penguin (voiced by Ron Marshall) who directs the listener to do various penguin dance moves, such as waddling, flipping flippers, and falling on the ice.

The dance is performed during the Furry Arms Hotel's penguin party, in an attempt to fight off the cold temperatures set on a temperamental air conditioner. Earlier in the episode, Telly (in a penguin suit) practices the song as he makes his way to the party.

An instrumental version of the song also appeared in a Sesame Street segment where kids make the city traffic "stop" and "go." (First: Episode 3310)
