Michael Mann is a video game developer best known as a producer of several Need for Speed games. Mann was the producer of the original Metroid Prime in 2002, but had no involved with the development of its sequels as he left Retro Studios in 2003. In the years since he has worked at Electronic Arts' (now defunct) Black Box division in Burnaby, British Columbia. He is now a senior executive producer at Xbox Studios, and has overseen such titles as Ryse: Son of Rome, Sunset Overdrive, Crackdown, Scalebound (cancelled) and ReCore; the latter game was developed by Armature Studio, which was founded by three former Retro Studios developers.
Mann took part in an interview on the Japanese Metroid Official Site along with Mark Pacini and Karl Deckard. It was published on April 16, 2003, and unofficially translated into English by Shinesparkers on February 26, 2021. According to Mann, Prime was in development for about two and a half years.[1]
Mann has worked in the industry since 1995. He is credited in some games as Mike Mann and Mike Man.
