The Magma Drop is a room on Alinos. It appears in Metroid Prime Hunters, and consists of a maze of Morph Ball tunnels.
Description[]
The room is accessible only by shooting a Purple Force Field with the Judicator in the underlevels of the High Ground. The entire chamber is flooded with a transparent type of magma that continually but slowly burns Samus, necessitating the placement and use of several Energy Capsules throughout the tunnels. Vertical tunnels can be ascended using Morph Ball Bombs, which propel Samus considerably higher than usual in the thick liquid. The room contains a Universal Ammunition Expansion and various Alimbic symbols in the background, but little else.
The main theme of Alinos stops playing in this room and is replaced by ambient bubbling sounds, presumably from the magma itself.
An Interment Chamber is located right next to the entrance to the Magma Drop and may in fact be the same pool of magma, but this is difficult to determine.
