William George was a Human man who lived in the 23rd century. George was an engineering division officer who worked on the USS Enterprise-B, and was listed on the ships dedication plaque.
Biography[]
Several months after the disastrous launch of the USS Enterprise-B that resulted in the death of James T. Kirk, William George became captain of the Enterprise. Captain George would command the Enterprise on its exploration of the Gourami sector, mapping 142 star systems and making first contact with 17 civilizations. Captain George is named for ILM employee Bill George who designed many Star Trek models including the Excelsior. As the Excelsior was the prototype of the class, it is in a way that he helped design the Enterprise-B as well.
