Lieutenant Vedama was a Human man of Indian descent in Starfleet in the 23rd century. He served as a science officer aboard the USS Enterprise, under the command of Captain James T. Kirk. He had previously served as chief science officer on smaller Starfleet vessels.

History[]

In 2270, when Spock departed the Enterprise to retrieve a Slaver stasis box, Vedama took on his duties. However, he accidentally neglected to give the Caitian officers M'Ress, M'viore and R'leez their semiannual dose of pheraligen, which caused them to suffer from hormonal reactions and act wild. After the situation was resolved, he offered himself up for arrest, but Kirk told him it wasn't his fault. (TAS - Log 10 novelization: The Slaver Weapon)
