The USS Voyager (NCC-74656-A) was a 24th century Federation starship, a Lamarr-class special science vessel in Starfleet service in the 2380s decade. Its commanding officer was Vice Admiral Kathryn Janeway. (PRD episode: "Into the Breach")

Service history and disposition[]

USS Voyager-A and USS Protostar.

USS Voyager-A was launched from the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards at Mars in the year 2384. Because Starfleet was preoccupied with the evacuation of the Romulans, Starfleet Command tasked Vice Admiral Janeway with the investigation of the wormhole left behind by the detonation of the USS Protostar. Starfleet had determined that the wormhole enabled time travel, connecting to a period 52 years in the future. At the time of launch, one of Janeway's previous commands, the USS Voyager, was a floating museum. Voyager-A was equipped with the latest and greatest of technology collected by the original Voyager and Starfleet. Following its launch, the Voyager-A assumed a position near the temporal wormhole. Janeway kept a secret embarked craft, the Infinity, in the port cargo hold. The admiral intended to rescue Chakotay and the Protostar from the future. (PRD episode: "Into the Breach")

Captain Chakotay and personnel of the Voyager-A were captured by Kathryn Janeway and Chakotay of the ISS Voyager-A in the mirror universe. (PRD episode: "Cracked Mirror")

Ahead of Frontier Day in 2401, Starfleet commissioned the Pathfinder-class science vessel USS Voyager-B. (PIC episode: "The Next Generation")

Alternate timelines[]

Shattered versions[]

Voyager-A shattered

Voyager-A shattered.

In 2384, a temporal anomaly shattered Voyager-A, leading to Captain Chakotay from the USS Protostar and a group of cadets phasing between different versions of Voyager-A. Chakotay had previous experience with this phenomenon and guided his team in emitting an inverted tachyon beam from the main deflector of the ISS Voyager-A, resolving the issue.

When Chakotay's team first beamed aboard, they arrived on a Voyager-A under the command of Admiral Edward Jellico. Jellico and the Doctor explained that Janeway had sacrificed herself.

During a turbolift ride, Cadet Rok-Tahk arrived on an Voyager-A with a crew of Enderprizians. This ship was under the command of the Vulcan-Talaxian hybrid Captain Tuvix.

In another version, the ship's interior was littered with debris and mostly powerless. Chakotay learned that his ship was abandoned after the Vau N'Akat living construct weapon had destroyed the Federation. (PRD episode: "Cracked Mirror")

Mirror universe[]

In the mirror universe, Imperial Starfleet operated the ISS Voyager-A. Its bridge master systems display also carried the NCC registry number NCC-74656-A. It was under the command of Admiral Kathryn Janeway. Contact between the primary and mirror universes occured during the temporal shattering event in 2384. (PRD episode: "Cracked Mirror")
