Majel Barrett was an American actress and the wife of Star Trek's creator Gene Roddenberry. She is best known for playing Lwaxana Troi in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, but also played and voiced other characters in episodes, films and games that span the entire Star Trek universe. She also pitched the story of "The Muse". Barrett died on 18 of December 2008
