Base was a male Ferengi in the 24th century.

Unlike other Ferengi, Base had hair (specifically on the back of his head where other Ferengi wore headskirts), something which gave him notoriety on Ferenginar. The authorities on Ferenginar claimed that Base's mother had travelled off-world when pregnant and had been subjected to radiation.
