Jumja sticks were extremely sweet Bajoran confections made from the sap of the jumja tree and had a lot of vitamin C. (DS9: "In the Hands of the Prophets")

There was a jumja stick kiosk on the Promenade of Deep Space 9 which offered multiple flavors of the confection.

In 2370, the kiosk was operated by Lysia Arlin. Miles O'Brien liked jumja sticks for their sweetness, while Kira Nerys disliked them for the same reason. (DS9: "In the Hands of the Prophets", "Image in the Sand") Rom also disliked jumja sticks. (DS9: "Ferengi Love Songs") Rom's son Nog, however, was fond of the confections. (DS9: "A Man Alone")

In 2375, Senator Cretak tried a jumja stick. (DS9: "Image in the Sand")

Tonic 2161, the official cocktail of the Federation's Millennium Celebration in 3191, was said to taste like jumja sticks. (DIS: "Red Directive")

Jumja sticks were often referred to by the production team as "glop-on-a-stick". (Star Trek Encyclopedia, 4th ed., vol. 1, p. 307)

The Star Trek Cookbook (p. 248) suggests making jumja sticks out of maple syrup sugar candy and attaching them to popsicle sticks.
