Janice "Jan" Rudolph worked as script supervisor on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise. J. Rudolph, a name on the dedication plaque of Enterprise NX-01, was named after her.

Rudolph started to work as script supervisor in the '80s with credits on The Next (1988), The Drifter (1988), Nightfall (1988, starring David Birney), the television drama Margaret Bourke-White (1989), Teen Witch (1989, with Dan Gauthier), The Return of Swamp Thing (1989, with Dick Durock), and Homer and Eddie (1989, starring Whoopi Goldberg). Further credits include Rockula (1990), Tripwire (1990), Side Out (1990), El Diablo (1990), the action film Kabuto (1991), Sleepwalkers (1992, starring Alice Krige and Mädchen Amick), MacGyver (1991-1992), Double Jeopardy (1992), the television movie Texarkana (1998), Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (1993-1998, starring Joe Lando and Chad Allen), Emma's Wish (1998), the short western The Magnificent Seven (1999), and Heat Vision and Jack (1999).

Following her collaboration with Star Trek, Rudolph worked as script supervisor on The Lost Room (2006, with Dennis Christopher and April Grace), Undead or Alive (2007), Intervention (2007), Husband for Hire (2008), the Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles pilot episode (2008, with Thomas Dekker and assistant production coordinator Eric Matsumoto), The Eye (2008), Living Hell (2008), Breaking Bad (2008), Sex and Lies in Sin City (2008), A Perfect Getaway (2009, with Chris Hemsworth), Easy Money (2009), Brothers (2009, with Clifton Collins, Jr.), The Spy Next Door (2010), and MacGruber (2010).

She later worked as script supervisor on This Must Be the Place (2011), The Lying Game pilot episode (2011, with Mitchell Ryan), Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (2012, with Mark Moses, Jim O'Heir, Roger Aaron Brown, Gary Wayton, and Monica Staggs), and 21 & Over (2012).
