Star Halm (born 31 July 1948; age 76) is an actress who appeared as a background actress in several episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation and in Star Trek Generations and Star Trek: First Contact. She received no credit for her appearances. For "The Masterpiece Society", she filmed her scenes between Wednesday 13 November 1991 and Friday 15 November 1991 on Paramount Stage 16 and is listed as S. Halm on the call sheets. S. Halm is also listed for portraying a parent during the hearing scenes in the episode "The First Duty".
Halm appeared as a bar patron in the Cheers episodes "The King of Beers" (1992, with Kirstie Alley, Kelsey Grammer, Bebe Neuwirth, Paul Willson, Cameron Thor, Mirron E. Willis, Don Bennett, Robert Cox, Brian Demonbreun, Grace Harrell, Gary Hunter, Robert Lombardo, Michael Prokopuk, Theresa St. Clair, and Mark Watson) and "Feelings... Whoa, Whoa, Whoa" (1992, with Kirstie Alley, Kelsey Grammer, Paul Willson, Erick Avari, Keene Curtis, Don Bennett, Mark Watson, and Sissy Sessions).
Halm worked as background actress in the comedy Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult (1994, with Raye Birk, Matt Roe, Earl Boen, Rosalind Ingledew, Alex Zimmerman, Marc Alaimo, Rick Scarry, Bob Scribner, Marcy Goldman, Bill Erwin, Bill Zuckert, Lena Banks, Symba Smith, David Keith Anderson, Kevin G. She can also be seen next to Tommy Lee Jones on the newspaper cover at the end of Men in Black (1997, featuring Carel Struycken, Keith Campbell, Ken Thorley, Becky Ann Baker, Sean Whalen, Steve Rankin, and Patricia McPherson). Further background work include ER (1994, starring Eriq La Salle, with Kevin Michael Richardson, Paul Eiding, Jeanette Miller, Pablo Soriano, and Melissa Vinicor) and Cybill (1995, with Harley Venton, Gunnel Eriksson, Irving Ross, and William Steinfeldt).
In 2010, Halm portrayed Mrs. Tortellini in the comedy Pizza with Bullets where she worked with Tony Amendola and Anna Katarina but is listed as Star Helm in the credits.
