The Bank of Bolias was the primary financial institute of the Bolians and used by many off-worlders. It was located on Bolarus IX.
Following the Lissepian Mother's Day Heist in 2365, Morn separated the gold from the 1,000 stolen bricks of gold-pressed latinum and deposited the gold in the Bank of Bolias (he stored the latinum in his second stomach). After the statute of limitations ran out in 2374, Morn faked his own death to throw his fellow thieves off his trail. Morn led Quark to account number CJ57436 at the bank, where the gold bricks were stored. Quark later had the bricks transferred to Deep Space 9 aboard a Bolian transport. (DS9: "Who Mourns for Morn?")
The Bank of Bolias had a seemingly poor security system, with a three-tier security protocol, followed by an isolation matrix which protected the data – easily accessible by a skilled person using a dataport. In 2374, while attempting to infiltrate the Orion Syndicate, Miles O'Brien assisted minor Syndicate operatives Liam Bilby, Flith, and Krole in robbing the Bank of Bolias with a dataport through a com-link on Farius Prime.
