The Lopez Residence was the home of William Lopez and his daughter Maya, located in New York City.
History[]
William Lopez lived with daughter, Maya Lopez, in a house together. Maya asked what sound the sky makes, and William said that it was quiet, like her. Maya asked what sound dragons make, and Lopez imitated a roar with American Sign Language, making Maya laugh. The two discussed whether dragons are real, and Maya then asked why she could not go to a school with other Deaf people. William apologized for not being able to afford the Deaf school, and told her that she was better off, so that she could learn to exist within two worlds.[1]
