History

This Professor X's life followed the same path of his Earth-616 counterpart's, up to the point his original five X-Men time-traveled to the future. Taking advantage of the X-Men's absence in the past, the Future Brotherhood traveled back in time and disguised themselves as Xavier's first students. Xavier was trapped by them in a Cerebro unit built to restrict his powers, but even with his powers restricted he managed to send telepathic messages to the outside world.[1]

One of the messages Xavier sent was to encourage mutants throughout the world to fight against the Future Brotherhood, who, after slaying Magneto and his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, decided to enslave their own kind. The X-Resistance was created in response; however, they were no match for the impostor X-Men.[2][3]

The other message sent by Xavier ultimately found its way to the future, alerting Magneto about the threat at hand. Before ceasing to exist due to the ripple effects caused by the Future Brotherhood's actions in the past, Magneto telepathically instructed the time-displaced original X-Men to use the time machine he had built to fix the timestream.[2]

With the help of the allies they made during their journey through space-time, the original X-Men were able to defeat the Future Brotherhood and undo most of the damage they had caused to the timeline; the rest Xavier hypothesized would be undone later, after they returned to the exact moment they left their timeline.[4]
