Fun fact: Simon reads to me most mornings while we enjoy our coffee. We both have very different tastes and ideas for what makes a good read-aloud, and I know way too much about topics I would be okay never learning about, like the ebola outbreak and strategies of war. But I love the sound of his voice, so I listen and I learn. Learning is an ongoing process, and there's so much I don't know that I don't know. Also how pretty is that display of notebooks? Of course I had to get another one. Can I ever have too many? No. No, I can not.

The bib pick-up and expo before the Marine Corps Marathon just might be my favorite one of the year! Of course it was also the most organized. No surprise there. Here's to Simon running this one for the second year in a row; his 3rd marathon in 2024 in 3 different pairs of running shoes. Too heavy, too tight, maybe this pair will be just right.
When I was a senior in high school, right before my senior pictures, I cut my hair about 8 inches in the hopes I would look like Connie Chung. This is the book my 17-year-old self needed to read. Thank you, Connie Chung, for making the time to put your memoir into the world.
Seriously soooo jealous of @gabycabezut right now! We were doing a catch-up zoom, and then... Look at my gorgeous print copy of The Half King by @melissalanders! I was like... I want!
