Penny Pinchers is a 1-vs-3 minigame which appears in Mario Party DS.

Gameplay[]

Penny Pinchers is a minigame which involves collecting Coins falling out of a treasure chest. The solo character is standing on the top, where they can move and jump to collect coins, although they also have to avoid beads that fall from the chest. Some Red Coins appear amongst the Coins, and they are worth five individual Coins. Any Coins that fall down to the Touch Screen can be caught by one of the team members using their grabber. By the end, all characters perform their victory animation unless their side did not obtain any Coins, in which case they perform their losing animation.

Trivia[]

• The minigame's name is derived from the phrase "penny pincher," but the minigame's title refers to the team of three using each using their own grabber to collect coins.
