Members of the Positive Work Environment Community Group, The AB is pleased to announce the release of the Vision for W3C document as a Group Note on the W3C Statement track.[1] The Vision Task Force is continuing to adjust wording and make editorial improvements. The document has already been subject to informal reviews from internal stakeholders and AC representatives participating at the 2024 Spring AC meeting. We now feel this document is ready for a formal wide review process, in advance of requesting that this note be published as a W3C Statement.[2] We have sent a request for wide review to the public-review-announce list.[3] Please have a read through this document. As you review it, note that Sections 1 and 2 are providing the purpose, goals, and the wider context of today’s web, W3C's role, and motivation for the Vision; while Section 3, 4, and 5 is where the Vision for the Web, for W3C, and W3C operating principles are defined. I would like to take the opportunity to once again thank the members of the Vision Task Force and the Advisory Board for their work getting the document to this important milestone.
