Pinguino is a male penguin. He is the leader of a rookery of penguins in the Tree of Life's territory.
When Beshte inadvertently destroyed a slide that belonged to Pinguino and his rookery, the penguins believed him to be a menace. Pinguino, along with several other animals, complained about Beshte to Baliyo and Rani, who resolved to help clear the hippopotamus's name. However, Pinguino continued to distrust Beshte and even fled from him onto a dangerous icy ledge. Pinguino ended up slipping on the ice and fell from a great height, only to be rescued by Beshte. This caused him to have a change of heart and clear Beshte's name with the other animals.

Pinguino was playing on his ice slide when Beshte inadvertently tracked snow all over it, ruining it. This caused Pinguino and his fellow penguins to tumble down the slide. Beshte walked away, oblivious to the damage he had caused, which made Pinguino believe that the action had been deliberate.
Later, Pinguino left to file an official complaint about Beshte with the Night Pride. Along the way, he encountered other animals who had been terrorized by Beshte. Pinguino insisted on doing the talking, as he remembered what Beshte had looked like as well as his catchphrase, "Poa!" Pinguino then nicknamed Beshte "Poa the Destroyer."
The animals took their complaints to Baliyo, who promised to inform Rani. However, Beshte returned to Pinguino's slide and ruined it once more. Pinguino complained again to Baliyo and Rani, this time using the name "Poa the Destroyer" to describe the perpetrator. This made the two realize that Pinguino was referring to Beshte.
Later, in an attempt to reconcile Beshte and the residents of the Tree of Life, Baliyo and Bunga led the animals to the Tree of Life. However, when Bunga revealed that Beshte would be at the meeting, Pinguino refused to go and left to return home. On the way, Pinguino ran into Beshte and fled up a dangerous icy ridge. Ignoring Beshte's warnings, Pinguino climbed higher, slipped on the ice, and fell from a dangerous height. Just in time, Beshte rescued him.
After the rescue, the two traveled to the Tree of Life, where Pinguino declared that Beshte had saved his life; thus, he effectively cleared Beshte's name. With Pinguino in the lead, the animals started up a celebratory chant of "Poa!"[1]
