Prunus dulcis (syn. Prunus amygdalus Batsch., Amygdalus communis L., Amygdalus dulcis Mill.) est species plantarum generis Pruni subfamiliae Prunoidearum familiae Rosacearum. Propter fructus colitur qui nuces edules continent. Arbor et fructus Latinitate classica amygdalus et amygdalum appellantur.
