Art Deco permeated everything from furnishings to ornaments, décor and fashion. It was a period of decadence that started out in France after World War I.

When World War One ended in 1918, people were obviously happy. So happy in fact that their collective euphoria ultimately influenced the fashion of the time. The era came to be defined by the emergence of vintage fashion, and as you can see from these pictures, it still looks awesome over 90 years later.

Just like 1920s blouses, skirts during the twenties went from the vogue thing to wear in the early years to out of fashion by mid-decade. Women wore skirt and blouse separates around the house and while visiting friends, traveling, playing sports, and running into town in casual, comfortable attire. In most cases, they were not
