Mauser C96 is a semi-automatic pistol designed by the Feederle brothers and Paul Mauser. Primarily chambered in 7.63×25mm Mauser, the later variants, notably the "Red 9" models, came chambered in 9×19mm Parabellum.
It is one of the earliest successful mass-produced semi-automatic pistol designs and was originally manufactured by the German Waffenfabrik Mauser AG between 1896–1936. It was also produced in several overseas countries, for example Spain and China, both with and without license.
