Hand-cast Vessel, Hand-poured in small batches, Made in Tennessee Fragrance Notes Our Grapefruit and Basil candle is the fragrance that launched our candle line. Top notes of ripened grapefruit infused with mint and fresh basil leaves with a fragrant heart of lavender and rhubarb built on base notes of vanilla bean make this citrusy summer candle a refreshing crowd-pleaser. Handcast Vessel Each of our concrete vessels are hand-cast to create a textured, minimal design. Every detail of this vessel has been considered and thoughtfully chosen to create something that transcends the sum of its parts. Each candle is then hand-poured using phthalate free fragrance, coconut apricot wax, and a cotton core wick to create a beautiful, clean-burning candle. Coconut Wax We bypassed some popular waxes in choosing coconut wax. Our Wax is renewable sourced as well as paraben and toxin-free. It binds beautifully with fragrance oil. When paired with a cotton core wick, it burns at a lower temperature than other candle waxes on the market, allowing for a cleaner, longer-burning candle. The process of wicking a candle in a concrete vessel is a science centered around controlling the heat. The wax and wick have been matched to do just that. The Burn Our concrete candles burn in a unique way. After the first 2-3 hour burn, you will have melt pool that has not reached the edge of the vessel. This is intentional. The candle itself is wicked to ensure that the outer concrete vessel does not overheat. It is only at the end of the burn, when the candle reaches its hottest temperature, that you will notice the wax left on the sides of the vessel will begin to melt. Once your candle has had its final burn, remove the wick and give new life to your vessel by enjoying it as a planter or other container. Candle Care Allow your candle to burn at least two hours its first use. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before every burn. Do not burn candle for more than four hours at a time. Extinguish when a quarter of an inch of wax remains.
