I finally managed to find a good poppy field with good light, it happens to be the same one I visited two years ago.. that fits, my wife says they are bi-annual. I took this with my CanonG10, should I say I cheated or used my head and skills to produce this photo. I had no filters with me so I took a sky shot and a poppy shot to get the exposure right and then when I got home I combined them.. really pleased with the result, especially for a hand held compact camera :-)

These gorgeous poppy fields in Worcestershire have not been in bloom since they were dug up in 2013—but the red hills are ablaze in all their former glory.

There's just no color quite as vibrant. 🌹
