Island Narratives

This is a legacy project that is hosted as part of the IslandArchives.ca initiative.
Welcome to the official website of the Island Narratives Program, which features the stories of thirteen Island communities that have been collected and digitized by a dedicated team of youth researchers. Island Narratives was an initiative of Prince Edward Island's Community Access Program (CAP). Researchers worked in collaboration with their local CAP sites to gather historical information through oral history interviews, archival research, visits to community institutions, work in local museums, and collection of photographs and documents donated by community members.

Explore the Regional Projects section to learn more about each individual project and its featured community.

Be sure to browse through the Digital Collection, an archive of photographs, documents, and audio files collected by the researchers and enriched by the generous donations of community members.
