How to Clean Hair Brushes in Vinegar- The high concentration of acid in vinegar can help remove the buildup of hairspray, gel, natural oils and dead skin from the bristles of hairbrushes. Combine 2 tsp. of shampoo and 1/4 cup of distilled white vinegar in a clean sink or bucket filled with warm water. Submerge the brush in the solution allow it to soak for 10 to 15 minutes.
