National highway

Commuters will now continue to pay an increased user fee on national highway stretches. Till now, the toll was reduced to 40% after projects were handed back to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) but as per the newly changed rules, commuters will end up paying 100% of the fee. The modifications to the toll rules for national highway projects developed under the Build-Operate-Transfer (toll) model were made by the highway ministry recently.
