Kiba Inuzuka is a supporting character in the Naruto anime/manga series and the Boruto series. He is a member of Konohagakure's Inuzuka clan. He and with his canine companion, Akamaru, are members of Team Kurenai.
He is voiced by Kōsuke Toriumi in the Japanese version of the anime, who also voiced Li Dian from the Dynasty Warriors series and Guido Mista in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and by Kyle Hebert in the English version, who also voiced Kamina and Jūgo.
Story[]
Overview[]
Kiba is one of the original 12 genin and uses Akamaru in a variety of Jutsu. One jutsu is the Man Beast Clone, in which Kiba transforms Akamaru into a beast like clone to confuse his enemy. This can then be used in a variety of jutsu (like the Fang Over Fang, where both Kiba and Akamaru spin in high speed and leap towards their opponent). Kiba and Hinata have a strong friendship.
Kiba's sister is a veterinarian. His mom trains dogs so they can help ninja like Kiba.
Chunin Exams[]
Kiba along, with Hinata and Shino took the Chunin Exams, which was a test. They passed along with many others.
The next part of the Chunin Exams took part in the Forest of Death. The task of this mission was to grab another scroll out of two. One was a Heaven Scroll and one was an Earth Scroll. He barely got away from Gaara. Kiba and his team passed.
The next part of the exams was a tournament. But first, because of the large amount of people, they had to go through preliminaries. When it's his turn, Kiba has to fight Naruto. Kiba thought this would be an easy fight, but he thought wrong. At first, Kiba and Akamaru were winning by using his Garouga jutsu where a transformed Akamaru and Kiba spiral around the opponent and attack. When he does this again, Naruto transforms into a Kiba clone. Kiba attacks a Kiba but it turns out to be Akamaru. But when he attacks the other Kiba, he actually attacked Akamaru. The first one was actually a disguised Naruto. When Kiba comes into an attack from behind, Naruto stuns him by farting (well, actually he was trying to use the Kage Bunshin no Jutsu but farted due to the effort) since Kiba has enhanced senses. Naruto does the Naruto Uzumaki Barrage and wins the fight. At the end of the fight, Hinata helps Kiba, who advises her to give up if she was to fight either Gaara or Neji, showing great concern towards her.
Personality[]
In sharp contrast with his teammates Hinata and Shino, Kiba is very outspoken, short-tempered, and at times, impulsive as a result. Because of this, despite his general competency as a fighter and ninja, he can make some critical mistakes. He also often argues with Shino over what course of action the group should take, particularly when Shino advises caution. Kiba often sees himself as the group leader, and becomes offended at any of Shino's actions that he perceives as challenging his leadership. It seems that there was a contest for leadership of Team 8 during the Chūnin Exams, as Kiba said Hinata voted for him. Despite his disagreements with Shino, he considers Shino a friend, and respects his fighting capabilities. Kiba has become very close to Hinata and acts brotherly toward her, but tends to worry about her, urging her to be strong before the second phase of the exam, and to forfeit rather than face a dangerous opponent. Kiba likes to playfully tease Hinata about her affections for Naruto Uzumaki. This usually includes telling her that Naruto is nearby, or just mentioning her reactions to him to other people, much to her embarrassment. Despite this, they have a strong friendship.
Abilities[]
As a member of the Inuzuka clan, Kiba possesses enhanced canine-related human skills such as his sense of smell. His most powerful sense, and weapon, is his sense of smell. By concentrating his chakra in his nose, Kiba can make his sense of smell a thousand times more sensitive than average; making it easy for him to distinguish people by their scent, as seen during his fight against Naruto. In Part II, Kiba stated that his sense of smell was stronger than that of a ninja hound - a feat that impressed Kakashi after he located Sasuke, noting that the Inuzuka clan must be proud of him. Naturally, Kiba is the ideal choice to be included in all reconnaissance and tracking missions. Not only is able to actively keep track of targets, his keen senses allow him to identify traps that others would miss, whilst also being an excellent lookout by detecting any approaching enemy shinobi.

- Although he wanted to become Hokage, he was never considered a candidate when he mentions that he turned down his position.
- During Part 1, fans confused the fur on Kiba's hood for his actual hair. In the anime filler arcs, Kiba often has his hood down; plus his teen design has him without a hood.
