Joseph Hisfriendfromschool, is a major character of the SML YouTube series. He is one of Junior’s best friends and is a student at Y U DUMB? ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
He is voiced by Lovell Stanton, who also played Braxton, The Green Pigs, Bubbles and Principal Steinbeck.
Personality[]
Joseph can be described in many ways. He often hides his true personality, pretending to be friendly while actually being irritable and arrogant as he tries to appear cool. In "Joseph The Hero!" and "Joseph the Millionaire!", it's revealed that he is, in reality, selfish, high-tempered, perfectionistic, and even sadistic towards his former butler Chives, driving him to depression. It's also revealed that he only visits Junior's house to mooch off him.
Like Junior, Joseph isn't very smart. However, he does show slightly more common sense and intelligence than Junior in some situations. For example, in "Joseph's Pet!", when his fish died, Joseph thought it was still alive, while Junior and Cody knew it was dead. He also doesn't know how to take care of a fish, as he bought a small bowl, fed his fish sprinkles, and took water out.
History[]
Early Life[]
Joseph was born on October 7, 2008, to Mr. Hisfriendfromschool and Joseph's mom. Koopa Troopa, Joseph's father, was mentally abusive towards his wife daily. He often lied about working, secretly collaborating with Bowser instead, and neglected Joseph. Eventually, Joseph's father died and turned into a skeleton.
Summer School[]
Joseph first appeared in "Bowser Junior's Cellphone" and subsequently became a regular character in the Bowser Junior's Summer School series. Following his initial appearances, he became a recurring character in various videos and eventually a main character in SML's videos, similar to Cody.
Joseph has experienced multiple deaths but always returned. He was killed by Black Yoshi in "The Call of Duty Blackout," by Chica in "Bowser Junior's Sleepover," by Cody in "Cody The Magician!" during a cut-in-half trick, and by the Hop Hop Bunny in "Bowser Junior's 8th Birthday!" He also owns a Charmander in the Pokémon series, which later evolved into a Charizard in "Pokémon Part 6."
As of "Bowser Junior's Big Vacation!", Joseph lived in a trailer with no air conditioning and no electricity.
A New Shell[]
In "Joseph's New Shell!", Joseph attempted a skateboarding trick, failed, broke his shell, and traded his soul with Craig The Devil. He received a new red shell with wings and matching red shoes. He now lives in a birdhouse because Bowser Junior, initially planning to break his shell, refrained since Joseph had no home. Before this episode, Joseph was a Koopa Troopa with a green shell.
Adoption by the Huckerdoos[]
Before the events of "Joseph Gets Adopted!", Joseph lived in a dumpster.
Heroic Acts[]
- In "Bowser Junior's Curse!", Joseph warned Junior not to throw the corn dogs because he would get the corn dog curse.
- In "The Magical Button!", he agreed with Cody, insisting that Junior shouldn't press the button. He even went as far as hiding the button to prevent Junior from killing people.
- In Happy Halloween!, he tried to defeat a killer clown, but failed due to the killer clown beating him up with a mallet which caused him to die.
- In Chef Pee Pee the Robot, when he, Junior and Cody thought Robot Chef Pee Pee was going to destroy the human race, they planned to save the world by killing him.
- In The Candy Salesmen!, he, along with Bowser Junior gave Hansel their three boxes of candy bars for free.
- In SQUID GAME, he voted against continuing the squid game and attempted to reason with Jeffy but failed.
- In Bowser Junior's SICK Pool Party!, he and Junior saved Cody from drowning.
- In Taken, he talked Cody out of beating up Junior and told him that he didn't take Ken.
