Minor issue[]
Minor issue, the Custom Gamepedia Extensions link should be [[Extension#Custom Gamepedia extensions|Custom Gamepedia Extensions]]. Likewise, "#Default Extensions" -> "#Default extensions", and "#Optional Allowed Extensions" -> "#Optional allowed extensions". TheSatanicSanta (talk) 21:48, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks and I prefer precision as well. Thanks for pointing those out — Game widow (talk) 22:06, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
Requesting extensions[]
Requesting Extensions nonexistent page link - need to remove or add a redirect. DSquirrelGM (talk) 00:10, 29 May 2016 (UTC)

Content[]
You left out DPL. :) Ferretwings (talk) 19:03, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
- Well, that's more part of "Available extensions." -Xbony2, TriMaster (talk) 21:18, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
Another Minor Issue[]
The edit Needed is a minor grammar edit, if there are more important edits, prioritize those first. On the About Wiki section on the page, it says ”pages are edit by users" instead of "pages are edited by users", Awesome diamonds (talk) 23:00, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
- Awesome diamonds- fixed; thanks for pointing this out ^_^ -Xbony2, WikiNerd (talk) 00:40, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
Wrong IP address[]
Few days ago (after recent Gamepedia changes) my ip-address (185.189.***) began to wrongly appear as 172.31.***, and looks like not only my but all non-registered editors, because in "recent changes" I see only 172.31.*** subnet and no others. It wouldn't mean to much for me, but several times I've got "Your username or IP address has been blocked. ..... Intended blockee: 172.31.***". Refresh helps but is it possible to get back to previous normal IP-detection ?
- We are aware of this issue and it is being looked into — Game widow (talk) 13:21, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you. Today it became even worse - for 1 successful edit I'm getting 5-7 "Your username or IP address has been blocked"... 172.31.0.134
- If you can let me know which wikis this happened on, i can fix it at least for today (until someone else mistakenly blocks that IP range, despite being told not to) — Game widow (talk) 12:09, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
- I'm editing only Dota2 wiki. Got several different names in message - Revoran, Hawki, Arm3*** and others. It looks like blocks was made on other wikis, but works across the entire site. Thank you.172.31.33.176

Cargo[]
Since we have some pages about Cargo now, maybe add it under Advanced Resources on the frontpage, since DPL is there as well? —Pangaearocks (talk) 23:52, 2 December 2017 (UTC)
- Sure, good idea :) — Game widow (talk) 16:36, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
"Redirecting" to main page[]
Hello and thanks for fixing aforementioned detection bug. But now (last couple of days and especially today) I'm getting (redirecting) to the page "https###://###www###.gamepedia.com/" from many pages (dota2 wiki). Sometimes it is 50/50, sometimes it is 20 fails in a row... And sometimes when I'm getting to correct page - it has incorrect design (CSS troubles or idk). I'm the only who have this or there are some CURSE problems ?185.189.100.57
- Yes it was a known problem that began late yesterday and was fixed overnight. It will be investigated today — Game widow (talk) 12:26, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
Another link to Gamepedia Resources[]
I believe Policies, procedures, and FAQ (One-Stop Shop) should be linked on the mainpage in Gamepedia Resources section, as it is an important page that links to many articles that otherwise would be orphanages. Frisk (talk) 09:01, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
- I added a link in the first box of links (For New Editors) — Game widow (talk) 12:19, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
Fatal errors[]
I'm repeteadly getting fatal errors trying to edit discussion page:
Internal error. [c17ca0bc6c6e6d13e10f764c] 2018-12-17 01:26:15: Fatal exception of type "Wikimedia\Rdbms\DBError"
Not sure if it is dangerous for Wiki or not. 185.244.20.235
- Even get "Internal error [22c699793ad4261f914849cc] 2018-12-17 01:30:00: Fatal exception of type "Wikimedia\Rdbms\DBError" editing this section.185.244.20.235
- Any page in particular? This one is obviously working. --Pcj (T·C) 01:32, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
- I was able to duplicate the issue while logged out. I'll make a ticket, but I suggest making an account. --Pcj (T·C) 01:34, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
- I think first one was dota2.gamepedia.com/Talk:Invoker page, but not sure. Second page as I've said was current page (finally worked though). I'd prefer to avoid register, no sense for me. Thanks for help anyway.185.244.23.13
Beginner Guide[]
Please replace the "For New Editors" sign text with "Beginner Tutorial"/"Start-up Guide" or any similar name, because it doesn't contain things that aren't present in the "Basic .." or "Advanced .." ".. Resources". Ilias48rus (talk) 16:57, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
- I don't see how "For New Editors" fails to convey that the information is for new editors. Items under Advanced.. don't belong there — Game widow (talk) 16:27, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
- its concealed, since a guide (what this is) are strongly differ from info junction page or a {content list/ commands spreadsheet/ ..} and have to be more fairly obviously/correctly named. Ilias48rus (talk) 16:57, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
News Section[]
Why is the News Section populated with editorial content from Curse? That would be more helpful if it contained wiki-related stuffs. BowiQC (talk) 15:33, 2 September 2019 (UTC)
How to find stuff to edit[]
I really want to help people with the wiki but i need somesort of thing or someone to help me fimd something Littleleggyboi2 (talk) 01:16, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
I don't know the use of wiki points[]
I know its somewhat erelevant to the concept but i just want to know what is the use of wiki points Pokecraftians23 (talk) 02:10, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
- It's used as a system of ranking the top contributors on a wiki, either all-time or monthly. Monthly points are also used for awarding Gamepedia PRO. You can see Extension:Cheevos#WikiPoints for more info on the extension that handles the points.

This page should be archived[]
It is a better idea so it doesn't get cluttered and messy.--ShaughnPlays14 (talk) 02:51, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
- It pretty much will get archived eventually at one point considering UCP. James Haydon (talk) 23:11, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
