looking forward to reading Train Dreams, sounds intriguing. I've read quie a few on the other list, but I've never read any James Salter
Read Train Dreams when it was forst published. Reading again with the group would be great. Have also hears good things about Canada, and so;
All choices are good.
All choices are good.
Since this book is short and another one of my groups is putting off the start date of a group read, I am going to squeeze this one in!

That's one I would love to read as well, and it's been brought up enough times in our moderator discussions that I truly hope it becomes the official selection one of these months. Even though Canada didn't end up as our monthly read this time around, hopefully we'll still see you in our upcoming discussion of Train Dreams

It's been nominated a few times before, so there was already some evidence of demand. The book is also quite short, and with summer approaching that carries a bit of weight. And don't be thrown off by the fact that Goodreads automatically links to the German translation (I don't have an explanation for that). The author might be very cosmopolitan, but this is definitely a work of English literature.
I hope you will join us next month in our discussion!
