Oh man I really wanted a stronger finish on this duology! I wish the character’s nuances were explored further, I wish the plot had more structure, and I was really hoping there was going to be a better plot twist with the gods since they kept suggesting it but it felt like it never paid off. That being said I liked the flip of Roman being the one not knowing who he was writing to, and I like that everything wasn’t super predictable. I just wanted more from it!!
