it was amazing
bookshelves: 2021, historical-fiction, horror-fiction, mystery

** spoiler alert ** You know I wasn't sure what to expect from this book. It could go a lot of ways considering the two types of worlds that were being pushed together. I've already seen one version in A Study in Emerald by Neil Gaiman, enjoyed that. But this was very different.

It was also just a lot of fun. I've already got the next book on hold at my library. I finished this one in almost one sitting. It was a fun read and I can't wait to see what happens next in this AU version of Sherlock Holmes crossed over with the Lovecraft mythos.

We had Nyarlathotep show up so now I'm hoping we'll get to see the King in Yellow or his sign at some point. I know he's been mentioned in this book and is called Hastur but I've always found The King in Yellow to be a much creepier name. Hope they run into him!

Anyway, 5 stars because it was fun. That's what I'm here for.
