Birdie decides to take a summer job in Scotland that was offered to her best friend, Heather (a wine expert). Birdie quickly figures out she will not be able to bluff her way through this job. The Inn is counting on her to do her job well especially when reviewers are coming to check out the place.
Birdie is a hot mess express, and she doesn't think through how her actions can and will affect others. She was a well written character that was easy to relate to. I caught myself yelling "No, you dumb bunny," several times. I was waiting for everything to blow up in her face.
This was more of a Chick Lit book with just a hint of romance. It was a fun and quick read. Overall, its a great beachy, summer read....more
Another book that I can blame Insta and TikTok for making me read. I completed this one for a IG buddy read this month.

Y'all! I don't know how to rate this book. I finished it 3 days ago, and I still can't place a rating on it. I thought Georgie, the main female character, was hilarious, but I was expecting more serious and traumatized emotions from her since she has been abducted by aliens. Then Vektal, the blue skinned and horned alien, is a respectful, protective alpha who takes care of a human he just met. Was the smut good? Sure! It was weirdly hot....more

Which I really love because we get to really know both sides of the story and characters. In my honest opinion, Chase was a douche in the beginning, but he ended up growing on me. The sexy and playful banter between him and Madi was **chef's kiss** perfect! Madison's character development was great too. She starts out as Martyr Madi with no backbone and ends up FINALLY sticking up for herself and setting boundaries with people. I loved this book, but because of my experience with family members who have died from Cancer, the book started to put me in a bad headspace.

4.5 Stars I thought I was adequately prepared for the amount of bullying that happens in this book. I was wrong. Wow! This book is NOT for everyone, especially if you don't like Bully Romances (which I typically don't).
I can see now why people were telling me to push through the first 2 books before deciding to keep reading or not, but I don't even need that. I LOVED this book. I am still PISSED at the ending. Like literally had to stop reading for the day 8 pages before the end because my heart couldn't take anymore.
One of the things I couldn't quite understand was the student- teacher relationships. That whole thing is strange and a lot of times icky.
I'm also slightly disgusted yet intrigued by all the Heirs. Caleb, Darius, Max, and Seth caught my eye because hello hot alpha Fae males, but also so many red flags....more
