Books -- fact or fiction -- that make your heart beat a little faster and put an itch in your feet. Whether the author is born and bred in the land s/he's writing about or only spent a few months there, whether the narrator has shifted their entire life or is just going on a short road trip, these books make you want to pack up and board a plane...now.

So glad I'm not the only one who thought that. Love the book, would never class it as "wanderlust." :/

I love Listopia's, but there are several lists where I see titles mentioned which make me go 'Eh...?' :-) I'm rarely sure if it is just spamming or if the person who added the book genuinely considered it to be fitting for a certain list.
Like Rebecca, I'm glad though I'm not the only one who had my doubts about Harry Potter being on this list ;-)
Something which rather irritates me is Goodreads authors adding their own books to a list, as kind of a promotion, even though the book doesn't (fully) fit the description of the Listopia. I noticed an example here as well. Authors, if you have to go to these lengths to promote your book, yuk!

I deleted them all.
What about the "Insurgent"-Trilogy bei Roth? I only saw the movie, but it didn't seem to be much about traveling/Wanderlust... any doubts?

Hi Linda -- to some degree you can guess from the titles, but unfortunately Listopia doesn't have a within-list sorting function.
Interesting list, reminded me of a few books that I have read and really enjoyed. A few I have never heard of, have taken their details.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Although I have asked the same question for different Listopia's, for this one it is easy to answer, as the description says "whether the narrator has shifted their entire life or is just going on a short road trip". The Hobbit might be fantasy but it does make one 'want to pack up and board a plane'.

Thank you Booklovinglady your comment does make sense, I appreciate you letting me know. I am all for boarding a plane at anytime and am an extremely fast packer. Thank you.

You should also list all the books written by Ffyona Campbell...amazing woman. She walked across Australia, America, Africa and Europe.

The list is public, so feel free to add her books and other relevant ones :)

I do feel like the last Harry Potter book fits the list, but the others not so much. It made me want to go camping in the forest of Dean :D
Can someone remove Pro AngularJS from the list? Pretty meager connection (i.e. NONE) to "wanderlust".

Agreed, and done.

Nice list, BTW! Featured in the Fall 2018 Seasonal Reading Challenge, to read a book off this list.

Oh, cool! I'm glad it's useful to the group :) I've gotten a ton of good suggestions from additions people have made.

Anyone can add books to this list.
